DEIB Trends in the Workplace (Podcast)

Welcome to The Upshot Leadership Podcast! Our goal is to have insightful and compelling discussions on the state of leadership from different vantage points across industries, expertise, generations and geographies. Our first episode is with the knowledgeable and passionate Dr. Alexandra Zelin, Ph.D. and MA in Industrial Organizational Psychology, former professor and current senior consultant organizational effectiveness in healthcare. (Small world - Alex and I actually went to high school together and were on the swim team - go Sabres!).

We discuss all things DEIB, including its evolution and integration in corporate and organizational culture, what it really means to "be authentic" at work and in career, and navigating, communicating, training and learning across generations, diverse perspectives and lived experiences. We're curious how socialization and cultural inequities play a role in the workforce and what the responsibility should be for both employers and employees.
